Cassini was the first spacecraft to orbit Saturn. The joint NASA/ESA/ASI mission spent 13 years on the planet, its rings, and its moons, and dropped the Huygens probe onto Titan. The questions were origin and structure: what the rings are made of, whether Titan has a weather cycle, how the magnetosphere works. This mosaic is an early tour portrait — a map of the whole system, ring geometry, and the shadow that only an orbiter could stand still long enough to see.
