The photograph

Artemis I, flight day 13, 28 November 2022. Shot from Orion’s solar-array tip camera. Earth sits as a blue marble; the Moon is a thin crescent. Spacecraft against a pure black field.

The mission

NASA Artemis I · Orion solar-array camera

Artemis I was the uncrewed dress rehearsal for sending people around the Moon on Orion and the Space Launch System. The cameras on the solar arrays were there to inspect the European Service Module, watch the arrays deploy, and give optical navigation a view of Earth and the Moon. This frame is that engineering eye, turned outward: where the ship was, and what it had left behind.

The metal

Dye-infused into aluminum. No paper, no glass, no frame. A hidden float mount sits the panel ½ in off the wall.

Shipping

Printed to order. Packed rigid, ships in 5–8 days. Free freight over $250.
